Though the pair’s official inspiration is yet to be cited, the coloration continues a long run of blue-based colorways for the silhouette, as well as the brand’s tributes to Mike’s Alma Mater in North Carolina. Here, Tar Heel blues dress the pair’s premium suede shroud overlays and textile liners, while creamy off-white ripstop uppers and tongues provided the pair’s base. Supple grey suede covers the collar and guards, while midsoles paintwork sees a return to Uni Blue. Sole units take on a light tan and gum tooling, complete with royal blue hologram buttons. Co-branding at the tongue is reminiscent of Jordan Brand’s “Motorsport” initiative, with animal-print insoles continuing on from SoleFly’s most recent Air Jordan 1 Low collaboration.
